Laios’s sister, Farin, uses a magic spell to send the other members back to the surface. However, she is eaten by the Red Dragon and left behind, as her magic fails to transport her. Upon returning, Laios decides to go back into the dungeon before Farin is digested by the Red Dragon. However, due to the dangerous situation, two members leave the party. The elf, Marcille, and the halfling, Chilchuck, agree to continue with him.

Later, Laios’s team is attacked and captured by orcs that inhabit the deeper layers of the dungeon.
Although captured by the orcs, Laios’s team manages to escape the crisis by cooking together with them. The orcs, who mentioned the appearance of a Red Dragon near their village, draw them a map. Later, Laios and his team discover another party that has been annihilated by treasure insects. Laios’s sword, for some reason, reacts to these insects. As they delve deeper into the dungeon, they are attacked by ghosts, and they fondly remember Farin, who was adept in spirit arts.
Senshi suggests moving to a level with more edible monsters due to the scarcity of food. Laios, wanting to conserve strength, argues against it. Hungry, Laios attempts to eat a meal depicted in a “living painting”. Inside the painting, he glimpses scenes from the birth and coronation of a prince from the once-existent Golden Kingdom. Meanwhile, Laios’s group is attacked by fish-like monsters in an underground lake and also encounters a giant monster, a Kraken, which they manage to defeat after a fierce battle.
Eager to progress and rescue Farin, Laios’s group faces another challenge as Laios suffers from food poisoning after consuming raw parasites. Amidst this, Marcille reminisces about her first meeting with Farin. Farin, a problematic student at the magic school, became best friends with the top student Marcille. Namari had left the group, unable to commit to the unpaid and dangerous mission to rescue Farin. Marcille accuses Namari of abandoning Farin, but they are saved from a crisis by Namari and her current employers, the Tansu couple. Due to incurring the wrath of an Undine, they are unable to proceed for a week. The Tansus, unable to wait, return to the surface. Laios suggests that Marcille, who is running out of magic, should also return.

Chilchuck discovers the pattern of the dungeon’s transformation and successfully finds the stairs.
