Mr. Osomatsu Season 4: Production Confirmed, New PV Out!

The production of the fourth season of the TV anime “Mr. Osomatsu” has been confirmed. Along with this announcement, the key visual and promotional video (PV) for the fourth season have been released, and comments from the six voice actors celebrating the fourth season have also arrived. Additionally, a special live radio program, “Six Kids Radio,” commemorating the fourth season’s production decision, has been scheduled.

The TV anime “Mr. Osomatsu” is based on Fujio Akatsuka’s classic gag manga “Osomatsu-kun.” It depicts the main characters, the six brothers, as adults who have turned into lazy, jobless ne’er-do-wells. The first season aired from October 2015 to March 2016, the second season from October 2017 to March 2018, and the movie “Mr. Osomatsu the Movie” was released on March 15, 2019. The third TV series season was broadcast from October 2020 to March 2021 on TV Tokyo and other channels. Additionally, to commemorate the sixth anniversary of “Mr. Osomatsu,” two special movies were released nationwide: “Mr. Osomatsu: Hipipo Tribe and the Shining Fruit” in July 2022 and “Mr. Osomatsu: Soul’s Takoyaki Party and the Legendary Sleepover” in July last year.

The visual released along with the fourth season’s announcement is an intriguing piece drawn by Eiji Abiko, who has been in charge of character design since the third season. The visual does not depict the six brothers but instead shows their usual hoodies neatly folded. This peculiar situation raises anticipation about what the fourth season of “Mr. Osomatsu” will entail.

Additionally, a PV celebrating the fourth season’s production has been released, where the six brothers express various emotions such as anticipation, joy, and even resentment while repeatedly shouting “Season 4!” Be sure to pay attention to the voices of the six brothers.

Takashi Sakurai, who voices Osomatsu, expressed his joy by saying, “I am very happy to continue adding more seasons, so I want to do my best for the next one.” Yuichi Nakamura, who voices Karamatsu, commented, “We’ll be causing a ruckus with all our might,” while Hiroshi Kamiya, who voices Choromatsu, said, “We’re going to go all out for ‘Mr. Osomatsu Season 4.'” Daisuke Ono, the voice of Jyushimatsu, enthusiastically stated, “A huge thank you with a grand slam goodbye!
