The Dirty Pair 40th Anniversary Exhibition is currently being held at Kitasenju Marui in Tokyo, from October 10 to November 3, 2025.
We were invited to the press preview and got a rare chance to explore an incredible archive of materials from both the original Dirty Pair anime and Dirty Pair FLASH series.
From concept documents and scripts to rough designs, animation layouts, and full-size character panels—this is a must-see event for fans of classic sci-fi anime!

🎟 How to Get Tickets (For Overseas Visitors Too!)
Tickets are being sold via Japan’s ticketing platform ePlus (イープラス).
There are three types of tickets depending on when you visit:
- Advance / Timed Entry Tickets: July 18 – October 9
- General Admission Tickets: October 14 – November 3
- Same-Day Tickets: Limited number available on-site (Oct 10–13 only, if time slots open; check the official X account for updates)

ePlus is mainly for domestic users, so purchasing from overseas may be difficult.
We recommend asking someone based in Japan to purchase tickets on your behalf.
Also, this exhibition uses a timed-entry system to manage crowds, so booking in advance is highly encouraged.

Every item on display is a genuine production asset—real materials used during the creation of the series.
Storyboards and design sketches offer incredible insight into how scenes and action were constructed, with pencil lines and handwritten notes preserving the creators’ energy and thought process.

The venue includes photo-friendly areas, such as full-size panels of Kei and Yuri from each anime series.
They’re perfect for fan selfies and social media sharing, and highlight the character design changes across different eras of Dirty Pair.
