|What is ORIENT?

ORIENT is originally a Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine series which later switched to the monthly version of the magazine, Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. Written by the same creator as Magi, Otaka Shinobu. The story follows Masashi, a boy in the Sengoku era of Japan. This period is full of exciting battles and dramas created by Japanese warlords. So it is a perfect time to tell an action-packed story with a bit of fantasy mixed in. Masashi is determined he will fight the evil demons that roam the land and enslave humans. Helped by his old friend Kojiro. They are on a journey to defeat the demons and free the land from them.
