BANDAI SPIRITS Announces “TAMASHII NATION 2023” Figure Exhibition Event in Tokyo’s Akihabara

BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. (President: Hiroshi Sakakibarahara, headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo) announces the holding of the figure exhibition event “TAMASHII NATION 2023” under its unified brand for adult collectors, “TAMASHII NATIONS.” The event will take place across three venues in Tokyo’s Akihabara from November 17th (Friday) to 19th (Sunday), 2023, under the theme “Connecting Through Figures, Expanding What We Love.”

“TAMASHII NATION 2023” is an annual festival that has been held since 2008, showcasing the latest adult-oriented figures. This year, the event will be hosted at two floors of “Belle Salle Akihabara” and one floor of “Akihabara UDX.” Approximately 700 items will be on display under the theme “Connecting Through Figures, Expanding What We Love.” The event promises to offer a wide array of exhibitions, including the latest figures, panels, and video presentations that bring the world of each work to life, appealing to a broad range of customers.

In addition to the two exhibition venues across three floors, BANDAI SPIRITS’s flagship store “TAMASHII NATIONS STORE TOKYO” will also sell figures and original merchandise.

In 2023, to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the “TAMASHII NATIONS” brand, a world tour event was held in five cities around the globe: New York, Tokyo, Mexico City, Shanghai, and Paris. The turnout increased by approximately 130% compared to the 10th-anniversary world tour event held in 2018.

“TAMASHII NATIONS” continues to deliver the allure of figures to customers worldwide.

Highlights of “TAMASHII NATION 2023” Exhibition Venues

1. Belle Salle Akihabara 1F : A comprehensive display of the latest figures from special effects and anime characters. Not only product exhibitions but also panels will be set up for those who have never touched a figure before.
2. Belle Salle Akihabara B1F : A retrospective exhibition of the 20-year history of the “Saint Cloth Myth” series from “Saint Seiya,” with unique presentations that capture the essence of the series.
3. Akihabara UDX 2F : Showcasing the latest robot figures, the entrance is designed to immerse visitors into the world of the works displayed.

Here, over 300 figures from a wide range of works, including anime, games, Western films, and special effects, will be showcased. This includes characters from popular series like “Dragon Ball,” “NARUTO,” “Demon Slayer,” and also figures from anime, “MARVEL,” “Godzilla” live-action films, and game titles like “ELDEN RING.” New products such as “S.H.Figuarts Tonikaku Akarui Yasumura” and “S.H.Figuarts Ken Shimura’s Bakatono-sama” will also be unveiled. Additionally, exhibition panels for “Kaiju No. 8” and “The Legend of Zelda,” as well as a standing statue of “Mikera’s Blade, Malenia (ELDEN RING),” will be featured, allowing fans to connect more with their favorite works.

The “Saint Cloth Myth” action figure series, born in 2003, celebrates its 20th anniversary. More than 250 historical products will be displayed, revisiting the series’ 20-year journey. Special exhibits recreating the world of “Saint Seiya,” such as the “Sanctuary’s Flame Clock,” will also be showcased.

The latest robot figures from series like “Gundam” and “Macross” will be showcased. Concept models of “VOLTES V LEGACY” and “Grendizer U” will also be displayed. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” with an entrance designed to resemble a catapult deck, featuring over 150 robot figures and statues.
