ATRI -My Dear Moments- Anime: PV, Cast, and Release Info

‘ATRI -My Dear Moments-‘ is the first title from Aniplex’s novel game brand “ANIPLEX.EXE,” which was launched in 2019. Released in June 2020, this game has been acclaimed worldwide for its emotionally resonant story depicted with vivid and fresh writing, surpassing 300,000 downloads. The game continues to gain users both domestically and internationally. Now, it has been adapted into a TV anime set to air and stream starting July 13 (Saturday)!

The anime tells a summer youth story of a lonely boy and a robot girl meeting, brought to life by the highly praised director Makoto Kato and scriptwriter Jukki Hanada, known for their work on ‘Bloom Into You.’ Animation is handled by TROYCA, renowned for their beautiful visual expression. In a decaying world painted in shades of blue, the emotional connection between the boy and the robot girl weaves a touching tale.

The premiere date for ‘ATRI -My Dear Moments-‘ has been announced. The first episode will air on July 13, 2024 (Saturday) at 24:00 on TOKYO MX, BS11, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, and AT-X. Additionally, it will be available for streaming on d Anime Store at 24:30 the same day, with other platforms to follow.

Furthermore, the key visual for the anime has been unveiled. It features the main characters, Natsuki and Atri, in front of a half-submerged school, along with other characters from the story. This illustration, which beautifully captures the world of the series and Atri’s cheerful personality, is a new creation by character designer Michio Satou.

The latest PV also reveals the titles of the opening and ending theme songs performed by the recently announced artists. Nogizaka46 performs the OP theme ‘Ano Hikari,’ and 22/7 performs the ED theme ‘YES to NO no Aida ni.’ Both songs are written by Yasushi Akimoto, who produces both groups. The OP theme ‘Ano Hikari,’ sung by Nogizaka46 members Eisa Ikeda, Riria Ito, Kazu Inoue, Renka Iwamoto, Haruka Kaki, and Mayu Tamura, can be partially heard in the latest PV.

Story

In the near future, due to an unexplained rise in sea levels, much of the Earth’s surface has been submerged underwater. A boy named Natsuki Ikaruga, who lost one of his legs in an accident during his childhood, decides to leave his life in the city behind and move to a rural seaside town. Left with no relatives, Natsuki inherits his grandmother’s ship and submarine, along with her debts. His grandmother was a marine geologist, and in his quest to reclaim his “lost future,” Natsuki dives towards an underwater warehouse where his grandmother’s legacy is said to lie. There, he discovers a mysterious girl sleeping in a coffin-like device. This girl, Atri, is an extraordinarily lifelike and emotionally rich robot. Salvaged from the depths, Atri declares, “I want to fulfill my master’s final command. Until then, I will be your legs, Natsuki-san!”
