Tokyo Revengers Anime Sequel: Watch the New Key Visual & PV

The production of the sequel to the TV anime ‘Tokyo Revengers’ has been announced, along with the release of a new key visual and PV.

This information was revealed during the stage event “Matsudo Touring,” celebrating the 4th anniversary of the TV anime ‘Tokyo Revengers’ and the founding of the Tokyo Manji Gang, held on Sunday, June 16. The key visual features a battle-worn Takemichi and Mikey, and the PV showcases iconic scenes from the previous seasons, culminating in a dialogue between Takemichi and Mikey that hints at the start of a new revenge arc.

Additionally, a 5th-anniversary project was announced at the event. The TV anime will celebrate its 5th anniversary in 2025, and the first event of this project, a character image song live performance titled “Friendship Live,” will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Pacifico Yokohama. On Wednesday, October 23, a Duet EP titled ‘TV Anime Tokyo Revengers Duet EP 01’ featuring character image songs sung in pairs will be released. This Duet EP 01 will include a priority application ticket for the Friendship Live event. Details about the second and subsequent events of the 5th-anniversary project will be announced at a later date.

Furthermore, a new project titled “Fairy Tale Revengers” was also announced. This project involves creating mini anime versions of fairy tales with a Tokyo Revengers twist, with the first being a rendition of ‘Momotaro.’

Additionally, it was announced at the event that June 19 has been officially recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association as the ‘Tokyo Revengers Tokyo Manji Gang Formation Anniversary,’ making it an official commemorative day. The original author, Ken Wakui, also shared a congratulatory message.

Introduction In order to save the drastically changed Tokyo Manji Gang, Takemichi Hanagaki (Takemichi) time-leapt 12 years into the past and led the Black Dragon’s Christmas Showdown to victory. He also succeeded in expelling the traitor Tetta Kisaki, but somehow the situation in the present day kept worsening.

One day, having renewed his determination and time-leaping again, the Tokyo Manji Gang is attacked by a team calling themselves Tenjiku. Appearing before the confused Takemichi is Kisaki, dressed in Tenjiku’s uniform. The greatest and “final” conflict in Tokyo Manji Gang’s history is about to begin, and Takemichi’s life of revenge continues!
