Experience a 17-Meter Life-Sized Gundam at the Osaka/Kansai Expo 2025

Bandai Namco Holdings will exhibit a life-sized Gundam statue at the private pavilion “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” during the 2025 Osaka/Kansai Expo.

This will be the first installation of a life-sized Gundam statue in the Kansai area, repurposing the materials from the Gundam displayed at “GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA,” which was held from December 2020 to March 2024. The 17-meter tall stationary statue is depicted in a pose with one knee raised and an arm extended high, symbolizing reaching out towards space and the future.

Under the Bandai Namco Group’s purpose, “Fun for All into the Future,” the “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION” aims to connect people worldwide through Gundam and provide an opportunity to think about the future together. ©Sotsu・Sunrise

Pavilion Plan

The exterior design of the pavilion is inspired by a futuristic space airport. The completion of the pavilion building, excluding the interior, is scheduled for July 2024. Inside the pavilion, there are plans to exhibit displays that allow visitors to experience the world of the Gundam series. Web Campaign “GUNDAM CONNECT ACTION” to Connect with Fans

As part of the nationwide touring event “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -ROAD TO 2025-” commemorating the 45th anniversary of the Gundam series, a web campaign called “GUNDAM CONNECT ACTION” will be launched to collect memories and messages about Gundam and hopes for the future from fans.

Some of the messages from fans will be utilized in initiatives related to the Osaka/Kansai Expo “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION,” which aims to create an experience together with fans.

Recruiting Pavilion Staff:
Starting June 26, 2024, recruitment began for staff to help create the “experience” offered by the “GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION.” The job responsibilities include guiding and assisting visitors, managing the pavilion, and other related tasks.
