Discover New Visuals for The Apothecary Diaries Season 2

A new project, “The Four Seasons with Maomao and Jinshi,” has begun in anticipation of the second season of the TV anime “The Apothecary Diaries.” A new visual will be released on the 22nd of each month. The first installment features Maomao and Jinshi with lotus flowers, which are at their peak in July.

Set in the imperial harem, “The Apothecary Diaries” is a hugely popular mystery entertainment series that has sold over 33 million copies. The story follows a young girl named Maomao, who serves as a food taster and solves various difficult cases. Written by Natsu Hyuuga and illustrated by Touko Shino (published by Hero Bunko / Imagina Infos), the series has garnered a massive following.

The TV anime adaptation began airing in October 2023 and consistently ranked high on various streaming platforms, even winning a special award at the TVer Awards 2023. After the final episode of the first season aired in March 2024, it was announced that the second season would air in 2025, further boosting excitement.

In the TV anime “The Apothecary Diaries,” the 22nd of each month has been designated as “Maomao Day” (Nyan Nyan → Nekoneko → Maomao), and various projects have been carried out. The new project, “The Four Seasons with Maomao and Jinshi,” showcases new visuals featuring characters from “The Apothecary Diaries” with seasonal plants. These illustrations depict the characters in ways not seen in the main story.

The newly released visual features Maomao and Jinshi by a lotus pond, capturing a fresh early summer breeze. A short video related to this visual is also available on YouTube.

The official website offers PC and smartphone wallpapers featuring the new visual. Additionally, a follow and repost campaign has begun on X (formerly Twitter). By following the official “The Apothecary Diaries” X account and reposting the relevant post, participants can enter a lottery to win a postcard featuring the new visual. Five winners will be selected.

The “The Four Seasons with Maomao and Jinshi” visuals will be released at noon on the 22nd of each month on the official X account and the official website of the TV anime “The Apothecary Diaries.” Look forward to the upcoming visuals!
