Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2: Latest Updates and Teaser PV

Anime

The production of the second season of the TV anime “Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2” has been confirmed. The second season’s teaser visual and teaser PV have been released. Additionally, a congratulatory comment from the original author, Asato Mizu, has been received. The second season’s introduction and character descriptions have also been revealed. The TV anime’s TikTok account has been launched as well.

The anime is based on the manga of the same name by Asato Mizu, which is published by Shueisha Jump Comics with all 17 volumes currently available. The series follows the “tiny” and “quiet” Reina Aharen and her classmate Raidou-kun, who sits next to her, as they navigate their “too close” or “too far” relationship, making it a youth comedy that is unpredictable in many ways. Serialized in “Shonen Jump+” until 2023, the series has surpassed 1.8 billion total views. The cumulative circulation of the tankobon volumes has exceeded 1.4 million copies, and the TV anime adaptation aired in 2022 (“total views” and “cumulative circulation” are as of August 2024). Now, the production of the second season, “Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2,” has been confirmed.

Along with the announcement of the second season, a teaser visual featuring Aharen-san and Raidou-kun on their way to school has been released. In the visual, Aharen-san and Raidou-kun are riding piggyback and forming the number “2” with their fingers, announcing the production of “Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Season 2” together.

Additionally, a teaser PV for the second season has been released. The PV shows Aharen-san and Raidou-kun, who have advanced to their second year and are once again seated next to each other, along with Ishikawa-kun and Satou-san, who are still in the same class from their first year. Moreover, new characters such as Ooshiro-san, who is now in the same class due to the promotion, and Momohara-sensei, the new class homeroom teacher, make their appearances. The PV suggests that the relationship between Aharen-san and Raidou-kun has grown closer compared to the first season, but there are still moments when the distance is “unmeasurable”…? Fans can look forward to an even more intense, close-knit romantic comedy.

Additionally, a congratulatory comment from the original author, Asato Mizu, celebrating the confirmation of the second season’s production has arrived. Asato Mizu commented, “Thank you for confirming the second season of the anime ‘Aharen-san wa Hakarenai’! I am very happy! This is all thanks to the support from everyone, and I cannot express enough gratitude to the staff who made the first season such a wonderful work!”

The introduction for the second season, as well as character descriptions for Reina Aharen (voiced by Inori Minase) and Raidou (voiced by Takuma Terashima), have also been released. The official website has been renewed.

Furthermore, the official TikTok account for the TV anime “Aharen-san wa Hakarenai” has been launched. The official TikTok will feature clips from the first season of the TV anime, so be sure to check it out along with the official X (formerly Twitter).

Raidou / Voiced by Takuma Terashima

Second Season Character Description: A seemingly ordinary high school boy. His goal in high school is to make “100 friends.” Initially, he felt a distance between himself and Aharen-san, who sits next to him. However, as they spent time together at school, they grew closer.

Introduction

Reina Aharen is a small and quiet girl who is not very good at gauging distances with people.

Raidou, who sits next to Aharen-san, initially felt a distance between them.

However, one day, when Raidou picked up the eraser that Aharen-san had dropped, the distance between them suddenly closed!

As they navigate school life, repeatedly being “too far” and “too close,” Aharen-san and Raidou-kun eventually start dating.

Now, in the new school term, they find it difficult to gauge the distance with a transfer student!?

In various ways, a ‘too close to measure’ romantic comedy? The curtain rises once again on this youth love comedy!
